Headteacher's Welcome
WELCOME TO ST TERESA'S!
St. Teresa’s has a warm, friendly, caring Catholic ethos which is central to the work and life of our school. We believe that all children are entitled to receive a high-quality, creative education that emphasises the importance of developing key skills as well as the whole child. We do this through the arts, the teaching of thinking skills, the encouraging of independent learning and the exploration of the Gospel values. Every pupil at St Teresa’s should leave knowing God’s love and being able to show God’s love. We want them to have enjoyed their learning thoroughly, always giving 100% and achieving the very best that they can so that they are ready for the next part of their lives.
We have the highest expectations of our children achieving their best in a safe, secure and happy environment. We expect outstanding behaviour, hard work and respect for everyone. We promote a culture of positivity and children are rewarded for their ‘can do’ attitude to school and life. Meaningful play times are an integral part of our day. Creativity outside the classroom is valued and encouraged and we are proud to be a Platinum OPAL school.
At St. Teresa's we are constantly striving for excellence. We are passionate about improving children’s life chances by giving them a love of learning and a drive to succeed. Each pupil, parent, staff member and governor is a valued member of the school community and we are proud of the warm welcome we extend to all of our visitors.
Our vision for St Teresa’s is one of excellence in all areas, not just in academic capacities. We want to ensure that every child who comes here makes excellent progress at their level and leaves with positive and happy memories of school that will last a lifetime.
