At St Teresa's we have 3 play areas, the EYFS play area for nursery and reception, the discovery playground for Years 1 & 2 and the large playground for Years 3 to 6.  In August 2016 we began to transform a pretty boring and uninspiring corner of the large playground, see the photographs below to see how it changed, this project also celebrated our 50th birthday so we have called this area the Anniversary Garden.

We wanted to create many sensory elements within this new play area as well as social spaces and natural areas and so we worked with specialist garden designers.  It was also important to have an area where children could explore and perform!    This area is now a focal point of the large playground and is used by many each break time.
