Notifying The Office Of Planned Absence

From time to time your child might need to be away from school, we strongly advise dentist check-ups and GP appointments are made outside of school hours, however we understand this is not always possible.  Below are 3 different forms for notifying the school office of an absence, full day absence forms (if your child is unwell and unable to come in please phone the school office and leave a message on the absence answer machine), late arrival or early collection and exceptional leave.

Absence Notification:

Please only complete for planned full day absences (e.g. appointments that will take a long time, 11+ exams and interviews etc.)

Exceptional Leave:

The Headteacher will only grant a leave of absence to a pupil during term time if they consider there to be 'exceptional circumstances'  A leave of absence is granted at the Headteachers discretion, including the length of time the pupil is authorised to be absent for.  The school considers each application for term time absence individually, taking into account the specific facts, circumstances and relevant context behind the request.
