School Council
St. Teresa’s School Council
We have had a School Council at St. Teresa’s since 2003.
Our School Council is made up of pupils from years 2 - 6 who have been elected by their classmates.
They meet once a fortnight on a Monday. Their role is to make a difference to our school community and to the wider world.
Here are some of the things our School Council have been responsible for over the years:
Annual fundraising week - raising money for charities such as Water Aide & NRLI.
The Big St Teresa's Litter Pick - Organising for the school to pick up litter in our local area.
The St T's Green Campaign - raising funds and improving our school grounds and increasing biodiversity in the school.
Organising and judging competitions.
The members of the School Council elect their own executive committee who chair meetings and take minutes. Being a member of our School Council is considered a great honour and children develop skills in communication and confidence.
