Home Learning Zone
Welcome to our Home Learning Zone!
Home Learning is an essential way to reinforce the learning that is happening inside the classroom. It also offers parents and carers a way that they can support their child in their learning. At St Teresa's we set a range of home learning activities that reflect the curriculum the pupils are covering that half term in class. This can range from Maths activities; to creating pieces of Art; to designing something like a game or even cooking. We ask families to please ensure their child is given enough time, space and resources to complete their Home Learning to a good standard.
The most important part of Home Learning is READING! Please ensure you read with or to your child every night.
Reading daily will have the biggest impact on your child's progress over time.
At St Teresa's we set our Home Learning on
Microsoft Teams:
Teams
Each half term we set Home Learning on Microsoft Teams. This is usually set by the end of the first week of the half term. Pupils will then be able to access their Home Learning, see deadlines and submit work on-line. Teachers can see the returned work and they will mark and give feedback via Teams. Most Home Learning is due in after the half term holiday to ensure families have enough time to complete it around their busy family schedules. Children have a Home Learning book (A4 Green Book) which they keep at home to complete their Home Learning in. Teachers may ask children to bring in these books at different points during the year to celebrate Home Learning together in class.
Please take a look at the Parent Guide below if you need help accessing Microsoft Teams. If you do not have your child's login details please contact the school office. Some parents and carers find it really helpful to download the Team App on their phone. This makes it easier to take photos of children's work to submit on Teams.
