Reading   

It is vital to create ‘A love for reading’ right from the beginning. This can be done by sharing stories with children both at school and at home. Within the Nursery there are several areas to enjoy books inside and outside. We have a cosy area inside to choose books and we have a wonderful opportunity to explore books outdoors from the reading hut. At the end of each session the children enjoy story time. Smaller story time groups are used to help support children’s interest and concentration skills. Songs, puppets and props develop an interest, develop communication and language skills but most importantly a love for reading. 

A library book is sent home daily for your child to enjoy with you at home after Nursery. This is a lovely opportunity for you to read together.
