Year 4 ' Advent Joy Retreat'

Thank you to @Salvatorian College, Harrow for hosting our Year 4 Advent Joy Retreat! The children had a fantastic time with icebreaker games, writing joyful songs, visiting the chapel listening to God’s word, and creating Joy Jars.

Year 5 'You Are My Rock'

Year 5 children took part in a retreat at St. Dominic's Sixth Form College, centered on the theme "You Are My Rock." Throughout the day, they explored the values of trust, faith, and leadership, drawing inspiration from the lives of Peter and Paul.

The day began at 10am with a warm welcome from St Dominic's staff, followed by an engaging icebreaker activity designed to foster teamwork and listening skills. The children participated in various sessions, including reflective exercises and creative art projects, all aimed at encouraging personal growth and deeper connections to their faith.

In the first session, children took part in a guided reflection, responding with written thoughts. After lunch, the focus shifted to leadership, as the children discussed their hopes and aspirations for the future, particularly as they prepare to transition into Year 6. During the final session, they expressed their reflections artistically by painting rocks with symbols or words that represented the strength and guidance of Peter and Paul.

The retreat concluded with a special liturgy and final blessings, where each child received a small footprint as a reminder of their mission or prayer. It was a day filled with reflection, connection, and spiritual growth, allowing the children to bond as a community.
